You can now interact with the shopkeeper! I’ve been having some fun with ideas for her, and one of them is every time you meet her, she’ll tell you part of her story (maybe up to 50~ short monologues). Interactable shopkeeper (i am having too much fun with this) Since the camera for the game is orthographic(2D) I actually had to create a second camera set to perspective for just the UI! Then moved all the UI onto it’s own “3D” layer.

Inspired by the touch screen order terminals at mcdonalds… Lol They’re huge! Also added a slight perspective tilt. Updated the shop layout to be a bit more futuristic. Updated tilted 3d touchscreen shop layout Wanted to make it a lot more obvious when frost was triggering and how much frost each target had, so I made the animation a lot more clear! Polished the frost stack/explosion animation Then the slots get filled from the bottom whenever they are casted! pixelart pixel art indiedev gamedev indie games indie game megaman battle network megaman onestepfromeden one step from edenĪdded a bit of animation to the card slots, your deck of spells gets reshuffled every time it runs out. I will try to show examples of this and other mechanics in future posts. The recast effect can lead to a fun loop if the spell kills an enemy, then kills another enemy on the recast, then another. This can trigger any of the effects above. Example of an Earthbound card that restores 2 mana when triggered^Īssassinate - If this spell kills an enemy, do an effect. A little visual effect pops up if you manage to trigger Earthbound. However, if your deck is filled with Earthbound cards, and you time them correctly, you can activate a lot of their bonus effects. This means that if an Earthbound spell is the first spell you cast, obviously you would not be able to trigger it’s effect. If the player casts an Earthbound spell and the previously cast spell was also an Earthbound spell, a predefined bonus effect would trigger. This one was inspired by the Lifebound “Unite” mechanic from the board game Ascension. The spell can be used over and over again since it is triggering Earthbound every timeįrost - applies the frost effect (applies frost on target, deal 10dmg for each frost on target)Ībove^ are the spell effects that can get triggered by Earthbound: Earthbound - If the last spell cast was also “Earthbound,” do an effect. Redeck - returns the spell to the bottom of the deck ^ Notice how the second time “Fracture” is cast, it shoots twice Recast - casts the spell a second time (effectively doing double damage) ^ One step from eden one step from eden one step from eden one step from eden one step from eden one step from eden one step from eden one step from eden one step from eden one step from eden one step from eden one step from eden one step from eden one step from eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden One Step From Eden OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE OSFE
